AGV

Automated Guided Vehicle. A mobile robot used for material handling in warehouses.

Antenna

The component that radiates and receives radio signals for RFID communication.

Anti-collision

A protocol allowing simultaneous reading of multiple RFID tags.

EPC

Electronic Product Code. A universal identifier standard managed by GS1.

EPC Gen2

The second-generation EPC protocol standard for UHF RFID air interface.

Handheld

A portable RFID reader integrated with a mobile computing device.

Inlay

The functional core of an RFID tag containing the chip and antenna.

LLRP

Low Level Reader Protocol. An interface standard for RFID readers.

Middleware

Software that bridges RFID hardware and enterprise applications like Odoo ERP.

RAIN RFID

A global alliance promoting UHF RFID standardization combining UHF RFID with GS1 EPC standard.

Read Range

The maximum distance at which an RFID reader can successfully communicate with a tag.

Reader

A device that interrogates RFID tags and collects their data.

RFID

Radio Frequency Identification. A technology using radio waves to identify and track tags attached to objects.

Tag

A small electronic device attached to an object for RFID tracking and identification.

UHF RFID

Ultra-High Frequency RFID. Operates at 860-960 MHz with read ranges up to 12 meters.

WORM

Write Once Read Many. A type of RFID tag that can be written to only once.
